About 2 or 3 weeks ago I bought 3 beautiful and very expensive dwarf mum plants.
It seems that because of the covid evertithing is more expensive including plants.
The mums did great for a while and they were in full bloom. Then the dried out and died.
I don´t remember, but maybe I did not water them every day as I went once or twice to Dixie´s. Besides, I bought them in a very small container and did not change them.
I decided to go on watering the dry mums but first I changed them to a much bigger container with good soil. And a miracle happened!!!
Today, as I went to water them, I saw a lot of new green leaves coming from the stalk.
I will keep them in the garage for some days and then they will go to my sunny terrace.
I have also placed them in good soil that drains and added a bit of toilet paper at the bottom as a filter.
Maybe I will become a good gardener in pots now that I´m old and can´t reach down.

@LadyDuck I used to be able to grow pansies with no problems. Now I haven´t been able to find any. And I don´t know how to grow them from seed.

@marguicha - Mums and pansies are the flowers that go through winters without problems here.

I think a lot of places plant their flowers and plant in a container that is just the size of the plant at the time. Good idea to transplant them.

@marguicha We've been told to water our potted roses twice a day if the weather is really hot.

It might be that and lack of water. The pot was much too small.

The flowers really look beautiful. I have stopped gardening as my body aches.
