The Plumber's bill is in!

It's about £694.50 which is around $928. I knew it would be pricey for fixing my heating as there was quite a lot wrong with it.
However he still has to fix some temperature valves on the radiators so I'm not paying it yet. I made that mistake before by paying a bill before all the little finishing touches were done. Plumbers tend to have short memories and conveniently forget the little non expensive jobs.
Why didn't I marry a plumber, it would have been so much cheaper!

Haha. I don't think I knew any when I was younger. Pity we didn't know each other back then, you could have passed him on to me

@sprite1950 He was not too bad when he was young, but I have seen him recently, not worth "buying".

That's actually quite good for the work I had done. I thought it might be around £1000 to be honest.

@moffittjc I knew it would be high so it wasn't a huge shock. Are plumbers expensive in Florida?

@sprite1950 At least the cost came in under your expectations. That's always a good thing!

This is quite usual for the work I had done. I thought it might be more than this.

@sprite1950 seems to be a major renovation.
We have few plumbers over here and they always charge a high amount. Mostly, everyone wants an office job.
There is a dearth of employees in traditional sectors

@Nawsheen Plumbing is big business here. They can pick and choose what they want to do and very often ignore the small jobs.

I'm not really serious. It doesn't matter what a man does for a living. My ex husband was a carpenter.

That is surely a lot of cash to spend on renovations. I suggest you could have taken different quotations from different services before settling for one.

I did and this was the cheapest. Heating is a necessity in England during the winter and I did have a lot done to it. At least I'm warm now I guess.

All tradesmen in the UK are expensive. I got a quote and chose the cheapest. The bill is paid now.
