This is how I deal with extra apples

My husband bought more apples to home and therefore I used some of them to make the preserved apples. It is easy and I didn't even add anything extra. But a food dehydrator is still necessary

That sounds great! A food dehydrator is quite useful. I also use it to deal with meats

If you had dipped the apple slices in lemon juice before drying them they would have stayed white... (They still look delicious, though.) Have you ever tried frying apple slices with a bit of sugar and cinnamon sprinkled over them? YUM!

@youless Yes, the acid in the lemon juice keeps the apples from turning brown from contact with the air. You're welcome.

One thing we in the tropics can learn from those living in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere is how conserve and preserve food like apple. We do not have to worry about winter when the food is scarce.

I just want to add that you could actually bake some apple pies since you love baking. Who knows it might be more delicious than the local bakeries in your neighborhood.

Those look crispy and delicious. I've never heard of a food dehydrator before. Better go to YouTube and do my research.
