If you had dipped the apple slices in lemon juice before drying them they would have stayed white... (They still look delicious, though.
)
Have you ever tried frying apple slices with a bit of sugar and cinnamon sprinkled over them? YUM!

@youless Yes, the acid in the lemon juice keeps the apples from turning brown from contact with the air. You're welcome.

In fact I haven't baked the pies yet. I wonder whether my family likes it or not. Usually I bake bread and cake. Sometimes I also roast the meats. I have a blog and I updated myy successful recipes to share with anyone who enjoy cooking
