My husband takes a number of pills each day for various ailments, none of them terribly serious at the moment. I was intrigued by this pill bottle which has a sticky patch under the lid.
When you open the bottle, there is a pill clinging to the underside of the lid ready for you to take. In the photo, it might look like the pill is leaning against the side but it isn't. It's sitting up ready to be taken. Don’t you think that’s pretty neat? I do.

Most of the people I know at this time of my life take lots of pills. I only take the minimum and no supplements. I use a well balanced diet instead. Bu my friend Dixie has so many ailments that I don´t know how she has so much energy.

@JudyEv I take great care of my diet. But you are right. Sometimes it isn´t enough.

There was a time when I used to go to doctors for minor or big fevers, cough, cold etc.
Plus for back pains.
Too many pills used to follow.
Now I do have to take supplements like Vitamin D etc but avoid taking too many medicines.
Instead I try to manage diet, take warm water, Steam, try to be more active.
Plus Stress can also aggravate illness so it needs to be managed.

That's interesting. Not sure I'd like it, though. I normally fill a 14 day pill dispenser every two weeks so that would be more annoying to me than helpful.

@JudyEv "Stuck-up one" makes the pills sound arrogant.

@DaddyEvil Haha - I wondered if you'd pick up on it. Such a shame to waste such a line even if it's not particularly clever

Now, isn't that clever. But if you have to take two of something, I guess you have to tip the second one out yourseslf.

That is a strange thing for a pill to do. The only one I take (besides vitamins) is one that has instructions not to touch it. So I carefully get a pill into the lid, drop it into my mouth carefully and wash it down quickly. I am even supposed to handle the bottle carefully. It's purpose is apparently to kill excess white blood cells, of which I have too many with no infection.

@JudyEv My reds have been a little low for years and the whites got crazy now, no evidence of infection.

@JamesHxstatic The body is hugely complex, isn't it? I suppose in a way it's a wonder more things don't go a bit haywire from time to time.

I can't help wondering what happens if you do touch it. Funny that it's 'safe' inside you but not 'outside'. I know people who have blood taken regularly because they have too many cells but I think it is red blood cells in their case.

That's different. Hubs and I have a pill case. Mine is a 7-day one.

Well Pills do come in picture now and then. I am having Vitamin D and some general supplements.
The terrible time is if I get fever and cold and have to take bitter pills even a few times!
Was this bottle overloaded with the pills?

They make it seem as though you are getting a lot of pills for your money but the bottles are often only half full.

@JudyEv I don't know who came up with it, but I wish more pharmacies would use it. I'm going to ask my local pharmacy about it.

How witty! I would sit there and shake the closed bottle seeing how many I could get to stick before removing the lid :-)

Ah, your medicine is served! How convenient I place my pills in an organizer for each day.
