Whatever you are feeling, it will eventually pass. You won't feel anxious forever, at some point you will feel calm again. You won't feel sad forever, in time you will be happy again. You don't have to fight your feelings or fight them, you just have to accept them and be good to yourself. Love your self for who you are not what you are. Resisting your emotions and shaming yourself will only cause you more pain, and you don't deserve that. You deserve Love, Acceptance and Compassion.

Yes, it's the same concept with bad gossips. Those will wilt away too. I agree that everybody has a right to their feelings and to be happy. So, it is best to live and let live.
