Omicron covid varriant

I have heard in the news that there is a new variantvof covid 19 and it's more worst than delta variant. It is called omicron and it was first discovered in south africa. But why omicron is considered the worst varriant of covid 19?

I read some medical person from South Africa say it is not as dangerous as they think. But I am not sure how accurate the article is that I read.

I heard it spreads fast than Delta. This is a really bad news because I am afraid the current vaccination won't work well because of it.

Yeah, I heard about it too and they say it is worse than delta since they maybe be resistant to our current vaccines but it is not yet confirmed as of this time. But the good news is that we detected it early on and its spread is not yet widespread as of this time so we can slow or stop its spread further.

@Ksymhie You're very welcome. I've been reading about it but all I could find was that it may be more easily transmissible than the Delta variant.
