Due to a possible covid exposure the swimming pool is not available to my student and I today.
I got that text before6:30 this morning.
Provided the staff member continues to test negative the next two mornings, we will swim tomorrow instead.
The mom will not be happy, but you know what? We need to all be safe.

Yes we do and often we don't know until it's too late or until we've already been exposed. I hope it works out.

If I cannot say something nice, I will say nothing. Not much to say about this family lately.

We did not go because the pool manager/aquatics director was sick on Thursday.

I would think not in the chemical treated swimming pools, but it has to do with the air around the pool and in the locker rooms as well as any surfaces, or any person to person contact.

@GardenGerty I'm sorry, but being an educator doesn't mean a person is smart. (Pretty and I had to deal with several educators who weren't smart when she was in grade school.)

I am not clear if the aquatics director was positive for covid, but I do know he was sick on the 2nd and we could not swim.

@GardenGerty
So it sounds like they wait till the swimming director is well again before they swim or does someone else decide?

The mom probably would be less happy if the student ended up with covid!

No, Randy, the director, was sick on the next day. I have not heard if it was covid, though.
