Lattice multiplication

My 9 year old wanted help with his multiplication and he had to do it a certain way. So I told him to tell me what to the name of the method was so I could look it up because a 9 yea told telling me who was not a pretty sight he was leaving out a few set.
So I looked it up got an example to use besides the question he had to make sure I was going through the steps correctly. Here you go if you want to freshen up on your lovely math skills. Honestly this isn’t how I would have done the problem. Hey you need options.

It’s not that interesting not a way I would have done the math work and I can see why my LD child has issues with it as well.

@Rashnag my 9 year old said even his resource teacher agreed it’s not the method for him. He is more old schools but he tried hard on his test for it and failed but happily.

I read that example, and got real confused real fast. I was tought one way, and that was streight forward. I hope he does well in school.

He does pretty well with math the same with his sister they both have learn disabilities but math is there strong area yes some way doing things is much hard for them math wise but over all they get A’s and B. I could tell you how it’s done.
