Day 175 Psalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that You might be justified when You speak, and be clear when You judge. 5 Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part You shalt make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 15 O Lord, open my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. 16 For You desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: You delight not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You wilt not despise. 18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. Has someone pointed out your faults? What did you do? Did you defend yourself, retaliate in kind, or did you seek to reconcile your way with the person you wronged? David tried to hide his sin from God. However, God knew what he tried to hide, and sent Nathan to him so David could confess his sin and God could forgive him. In this prayer, David confessed his sin to God and asked Him to make him a new person. As Christians, we are all sinners. None of us deserve God’s favor. God knows everything we do. We can hide nothing from God. He will let us know our faults so we can confess them. When you confess your sin, God will create a new heart in you. He will purge the sin from your life and make you a new person. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV) 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. When was the last time you took responsibility for your actions? Have you prayed and asked God to forgive you as David did, so you can receive God’s mercy and forgiveness? Read David’s prayer again. Let it sink into your heart and purge away your sin as you confess your faults to God. Then you will know God’s peace that passes all understanding. Joy will fill your life as you rejoice in your salvation. Let’s pray: Father, You know me. I can hide nothing from You. Show me my sin as You showed David his sin. Forgive me so I can stand in Your presence free of guilt and sing Your praises. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 3 December 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

We are sinners. The question now. Why GOD created sinners?

Excuse me? God didn't create sinners. Man sinned in the Garden of Eden when Lucifer tempted Eve with the fruit. As soon as she took it and ate it and gave it to Adam, sin entered man.

@solidcodes Lucifer was originally an archangel. He was in charge of the music in heaven. See Isaiah 14. Lucifer wanted to be like God, See Isaiah 14. He led a rebellion against God and led a third of the angels in the rebellion. Those angels are now demons.

I always pray to the Lord especially when I am troubled and ask him to help me through the rough spots but always say I will also attempt to help myself,

God wants us to depend on Him, not only in the rough spots. Have a blessed day.
