The cruise is over. Thanks again to @JoyDorsey for inspiring this countdown of favorite songs that have “island” in the title. If you remember a previous countdown, then the top spot should be no surprise. Here’s the biggest island of all.
#1: Island - Jimmy Buffett
I wanna hear NJ Chic say she’s never heard this one! 
(It’s a little game we play in my countdowns. Actually, the next countdown will be for her: songs Buffett has covered, given that she didn’t know that “Christmas Island” was a cover.)
Imagine this, too: Jimmy Buffett doing an island song. 
As I mentioned when I counted down my favorite Buffett songs, I’m more a fan of his ballads than his “let’s get drunk and eat a cheeseburger at 5 o’clock.” The man is a great songwriter, and I feel like that gets lost in his “party” music. Of course, his “party” music is what’s paying his grandkids’ college tuition, so I’ll remain in the minority.
And enjoy the daylights out of this great song once again.

@Chellezhere — silly boy. That’s fun to yell when Buffett is singing the song at a concert, but unless you were in a Jimmy Buffett hotel or restaurant….
