Ethan Crumbley's parents seem to have abandoned him

The Oxford school shooter's parents James and Jennifer Crumbley hired expensive lawyers for themselves even before they were charged with 4 counts of involuntary manslaughter each. Their 15 year old son Ethan has been assigned a public defender since he doesn't have the means to pay for a lawyer himself.
Very strange actions for parents. Supposedly they aren't paying for a lawyer for their son because they are trying to distance themselves from him and what he did.

They are saving themselves and not their son I think that is the worst thing ever, He will wind up resentful and probably if given the chance will do something even worse next time,

It's pretty obvious that these parents abandoned their child a long time ago.
After learning the history, this incident should come as no surprise.
I hope the "book" hits them squarely in the head and they spend serious time behind bars.

Yes, strange way for parents to act. I try so hard not to judge people before knowing truths, but in all honesty these people seem like they practiced objectionable actions in many ways. Very sad.
