My neighbor gets scared at night.

As I was going back home from work. This man stoped me asking me for a minute of my time. He said there's this girl who works under him and who is actually my neighbor get super scared at night and keeps calling her parents who are hundred miles away. He asked me if I could help her look for a roommate. I met the girl for the first time, she seems so nice and sweet, and I suggested she can call me or come over whenever she feels scared as I stay up late most nights. I think I made a new friend, I hope we will get along... What do you think about this situation ?

Why can't she get a maid or a relative; my sis could also be afraid of staying alone but now she is married

She's just 23, just moved here, her family are 700 km away, busy with their own lives. I think a roommate could be great.
