This is another nice story of how the Tennessee State Police officers are doing their part to do their part to protect and serve their communities when persons need their help. Two days ago Tennessee State Trooper Aaron Ranker answered an emergency call from mom to be Sharie Madrid who along with her husband were trapped in traffic on Interstate 40 near Nashville due to a traffic accident. Officer Ranker who has experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) before he joined the police force knew that it would be impossible for Sharie would be able to arrive to a local hospital in the Nashville metro area in time to bring her child into the world. The trooper assisted Sharie to deliver a healthy baby boy in the front seat of her auto while the couple were on the interstate. Since the baby was born three weeks premature, Sharie has yet to decide to name her baby boy. My feeling is that the chlld be named after the police officer and make him the baby's Godfather.

I am sure he had some help from his fellow officers to have the traffic clear a path for him to move around the interstate since the area might have been cleared for emergency autos near the traffic jam.

Yes, well done. I have always hoped that I never find myself in that situation myself. I would feel completely lost in that situation.
