The Value of ‘Liking’

I never really understood that ‘liking’ posts was a way of helping out posters in the lot. I often may read a post with interest, but don’t feel I have anything of value to add . But a rereading of the FAQs is interesting ‘ The value of 'liking' is that the person posting it and others can see that the post was, presumably, helpful to the person who 'liked' it. The 'likes' rating is one of the factors used in deciding where a post ranks in the "Explore - Top Rated Posts" I am going to try this more often. It doesn’t necessarily help with earning, but it could help the poster by making it more visible for others who may have something interesting to add

Of course it makes a post to be in top rated category. So that it can get more responses as it is visible to more users. More responses means more interaction on the way

@Babino to be honest, I am not very knowledgeable about it - a recent conversation can fall down pretty quickly on a busy day before someone gets to see it - so I think if I like something, it bumps it back into view again - sort of like playing badminton

@porwest hmmm - good point - but I think you must do a lot more posting than me - I have no trouble tracking responses - there just aren't that many of them

Liking is the same as interacting and it gives a little earn but helps also increase the rating

I tend to like posts, too and recieve a lot of likes on mine, too. I feel, that's my counterbution, even if I can't think of something to say.

I don’t think it does directly, if I understood correctly, but it does bump up the numbers so that others, who do have something to contribute, can comment, thereby helping people with their earnings - it’s like keeping a badminton birdie in the air

@RebeccasFarm it doesn’t add up to much, does it? But maybe that .001 of a cent might help someone- where a dollar actually buys something

Actually, I am of the understanding that we do, in fact, get paid for likes. Not sure if they are as valuable as a comment. But the suggestion has always been made that there is a monetary value to them.
