Rice on banana leaf

Have you ever eaten leaf rice? Incidentally yesterday we had a liwetan event, or ate together at my friend's house, and ate it on banana leaves.
As seen in the picture, the rice is mixed with sliced ??eggs, chilies, petai and other spices, then placed on a banana leaf, and placed in a basket. It feels so good.
This dish is very simple, but it tastes good

It was a tradition in India to have meals on banana leaves. It's not so common these days but we still see it in many functions and many households especially in Southern states of India. I love eating meals on banana leaves. I think it tastes better.

They say that eating rice from a banana leaf gives you that added aroma for a more appetizing feel. But I don't know whether that is true or not.

It feels so good to eat on a banana leaf. The vendor in our office puts the rice on it very nice.
