Kevin Nies and his wife who live in the San Antonio Texas are being thanked by a server named Rachel Barney who is a single mom with two children aged 12 and 14 years of age. Kevin and his wife called around several restaurants in the area to speak to the managers if there was someone who could use a holiday present like a huge tip for their service in the workplace. On Thursday Rachel's manager inside of the Cracker Barrel asked her to serve a huge party of customers. When the huge party finished their meal that ended up with a bill of $270 dollars, Kevin gave Rachel a huge tip of $1,300 dollars. Rachel cried tears of joy that Kevin and his wife selected her to receive her Christmas present that she will use to take her children for a vacation. What is amazing of the kind act by Kevin is that he was inspired to give huge tips to persons who really need a helping hand during these tough economic times. Kevin is hoping that he can inspire other people since true happiness is when we all assist others in need.

That is nice, I hope she got to keep all that. I know some places make employees share all tips with other employees and the boss. I saw another a waitress got like a 4400 dollar tip and she ended up being fired because she would not split it with everyone when they never shared tips before. Some places pay so low and use tips as their main source of payment so they can get people to work in their establishment. Those what I call pure capitalism establishments. I guess many places like that figure people with money will not come in there and then to give that big of a tip on top of it. Why did we make that rule? share.

@Deepizzaguy Indeed, they really should fix that. It makes me so angry people do that to other people.

@crossbones27 I agree with you that some people do not seem to care to assist the poor people in need. Just take them for granted.

I also read the story where the employee was fired over getting a huge tip. It is bad that some people have tips as their source of income.

I know how you feel since it would be nice if anyone would have given me that huge tip on a writer site that has the name of Writers Cafe.

That is a wonderful story. The world needs more of that kind of selflessness.

I am with you since there are too many stories of greedy persons with money to burn not making an effort to assist their communities but lecture us how to live.
