Well, Our Son has a Christmas Tree

Our son doesn’t celebrate Christmas, but his girlfriend does. So his house is fully (and tastefully) decorated and is sporting this tree.
Hubs and I have seen it several times. We had Friday night cocktails in front of it a couple of weeks ago.
We see it every time we visit the kitties. They have beaten down ornaments and chomped through ribbons and bows, so most of the gifts are hidden in a closet.
We celebrated my hubby’s birthday in front of it Saturday night before dinner. Unfortunately, our son’s girlfriend was in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a long weekend visiting her law school friends, so was only with us in spirit.
Anyway, it’s so nice that he and she celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas. Extra gifts for all!

Lovely tree.
One of my cats opened a present. I left the box in place for her to lay on. Now Bright Eyes is after the new box. GRRRRR!!!!!!!

It is a great holiday even if you aren’t religious. I went to catholic grade school and a catholic university ( you know which one) but I bailed on religion when I couldn’t do Adam and Eve AND bacteria as the first living things on Earth. I still enjoy Christmas though.

@DianneN He is also the one I told you about in the band who made them do Christmas songs last weekend. They sang like 3 Christmas songs and I looked at him af the 1st one. He yelled "It was the Jew's idea!" He is so funny. He brought me some latkes a couple of weeks ago.

It's hard to resist the lure of a Christmas tree, even if you don't celebrate Christmas. There is something magical about them. Happy Hanukkah!

I know trees are supposed to be a symbol for Christmas, but I also feel they can be universal, and festive, too. I think his is pretty.
