Accordiong to an article in Cosmo, running your fingers through something soft lowers cortisol, a stress hormone. Do you think this is true?

Yes, Not only does it lower Cortisol, it also lowers blood pressure - DNatureofDTrain

Yes, I have read something similar that encourages people to have pets to lower their blood pressure. It makes sense that if the stress hormone is lowered, the blood pressure would also be lowered.
