An early Christmas Eve

For our folks, today is Christmas Eve. The kids should be here any time now.
I've been cooking since yesterday, well, actually for several weeks putting things in the freezer. Tammy and I will finish cooking the rest of our dinner today.
I'm so glad my cousin Cathy can join us. We hope to eat about six o'clock. That will give my son in law and grandson Landon time to deer hunt behind the house. If they kill one, they'll just have to wait until after dinner to clean it!
I have the deviled eggs, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes (sorry not home made, Bob Evans which are close), cranberry sauce, tea, and chocolate pies in the fridge. The peanutbutter fudge, candy cane fudge, snowball cookies, chocolate mint squares, and sugared peanuts are in the freezer.
So, just have to make two casseroles, corn, ham, and biscuits later.

Not in the forrest, but we have a lot of wooded land behind our house. My son in law shot at a deer yesterday, but missed.

Wow, you are cooking up a storm..Merry Christmas to you too. I will be cooking like a maniac tomorrow. There really aren't too many things I can do in advance, but I might try to do something to avoid exhaustion.

@1creekgirl Yes, I could at least get out the cookware and get it ready to go. And maybe the items that don't need to be refrigerated so I don't have to look for them tomorrow.

I appreciate that. It was the fastest we've ever had! They got here yesterday morning, had our big dinner that afternoon, then decided to open gifts after that. This morning we had a small birthday celebration for me, then they had to leave to have Christmas at their house with Tammy's daughter and fiance. Too much activity and too little time. But thankful to be together.
