How MyLotters are missing an opportunity to get rich on the site.

I realize this morning that I have a newish pattern on MyLot. I used to go through my Notifications first and try to respond to each of them. Then I'd go to Hot Discussions to see...well...what was hot.
But now I go to my own most recent discussions first and try to respond to everyone who comments on my recent posts. Then I go to Recent Activity to see "what's happening" right now on MyLot.
How to get rich on MyLot? I notice that many people do not comment on my comments on their comments, both on my and others' posts. This means that the possibility for one of those lengthy threads (and often amusing) threads is snuffed.
I find that I have my "best" days on MyLot when I happen to get involved in a handful of long threads. Not only do I get rich, but that tends to be when I have the most fun.
Sometimes I have to consult my old Mad Magazine (do any of you remember Mad Magazine?) for "snappy answers to stupid questions," but no matter. The conversations continue.
Do you have hints for newbies concerning how to get rich on MyLot?

Remember it everyone is here to get rich or make fast money or the most they can make. For many people they want the interaction and the money part is just the perk for them. For me I look at my notification, look at recent discussions by other make a few post if I have anything to talk about. This for me is a passive income me and it’s extra for me on what I already make from other places. Not wanting to get rich just the extra money for bills or food.

By the way, I’m cleaning house while listening to Jesse Winchester. Thinking of you and “Mississippi You’re on My Mind”…..

Long threads are good. They wander into lots of interesting places.

@TheHorse They are very inviting. And you can usually stay as long as you want.

@xander6464 Exactly. That's also a part of how I made some of my trillions on MyLot.

I love it when there is a lot of back and forth in a response thread. It’s way more fun than leaving a response or comment somewhere and waiting for a response back.

I remember reading something in Mad when I was 11. I don't remember what it was, just that I was sitting the kitchen and giggling my head off because of it. Luckily, my mother picked my head off the floor and screwed it back on.

@TheHorse I particularly liked the "marginal humor", often drawn by Sergio Aragones. I have a lovely photo of him twirling his mustache but I don't feel like digging out the appropriate photo album. I met him at a San Diego Comic Con (maybe, I don't remember, it was in the 70s...)

@BarBaraPrz If you don't remember it, it was fun. And it was the late '60s or early '70s.

Many do that here. They post and then just want replies. They dont know you keep earning if you keep chatting.

I loved Mad Magazine especially when they did takes on movies and such, I guess just interact as much as you can and read through the comments of others on various posts to see if you can get in on some other conversations, I suppose it will add up.

No, I feel as though I am still kind of a newbie myself since I joined in June, was active for a bit over the summer and then got busy and didn't get in this site much. But I decided to make a goal for the month of December and did reach it, so that motivated me to keep going. I think I do sort of follow a similar pattern to you, but I also like to check out new user discussions as well to welcome any newbies. I am starting to respond to people within the comment areas. I never did that before. Thanks for your tips.

Of course, I'm being facetious when I talk about "getting rich on MyLot," but the site really is the most fun when you get involved in interesting or amusing conversations. You'll also get to know the personalities, senses of humor, etc. of various members and "find your own place" here.
