December 30 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a very good day.
I'm thankful I could make it to the YWCA this morning. I had a good workout in the pool and fitness center. 
I'm thankful I had my last therapy session this morning. I know the exercises I need to do so I don't need the therapy any longer.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Where Eagles Soar when I got home today. This is a blessing in disguise because I can find and make changes where necessary to make the text stronger.
I'm thankful for the Christmas Card I got in the mail today from @elizaby. Thank you so much for the beautiful, thoughtful card.
I'm thankful that the bill I thought I got in the mail, wasn't a bill, it was a check. That was a nice surprise from the vision people who did my cataract surgery last year. I know I owed them the money this year when I had the appointment. They gave it back. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I like nice surprises.
Okay, that's been my day. I know I wasn't here today with all I've been doing. I will be here tomorrow, though I also need to do laundry. It might wait. We'll see.
You know the phone call I made to Social Security a couple of days ago. Murphy's Law was in full operation that day. I've been waiting for weeks for my 2022 statement. After spending time on the phone with them, giving them my new address and phone number, and them sending out a new statement, I got it in the mail that day. Now, I'll have two statements. Works for me.

I am going to a Botanical garden of light show tomorrow! You have lots to be thankful for. I am thankful that my phone which was acting strange in the car, starting acting normally when I got home.

I was thankful to visit with a friend today, and then shop this evening so I can stay home the next two days. I had a very mellow attitude this afternoon and I am thankful for that as well.

It is a nice feeling when you get a refund and you weren't expecting it. The church recently got a refund check from the insurance company. We had to change because the one we had for years decided not to renew our policy.
I am thankful for fans. Ours have been running 24/7 to help keep us cool. I thought about turning on the ac earlier but the fans were enough.

@just4him They said we didn't align with their beliefs. They support BLM, gays and what not. I agree we don't agree with whom they support. When the bill came in last year it was almost $4000 for the year and first paragraph said due to the riots across the nation our premiums would be more. They claimed we are a business selling products from within our walls, which we can't figure out. We don't sell anything at anytime. Pastor Sammy won't allow sells of any kind for any reason on church property.
We were better because we found a Christian Insurance agency, Brotherhood Mutual and the price was 1/2 as much as last years payment to the bigger national insurance chain.

A check is better than a bill anytime 
I always find dealing with agencies on the phone to be a hassle in some way,
Well, thankful for all the Christmas treats I got this year, especially the cookies. The weight I will gain from eating them, not so much.

A very beautiful photo! Jay and I took a drive to Bay City, it was such a nice day. We were done early, so just drove home and ate leftovers again.

Let's see, I have had a rather disappointing day because of the fog that rolled in last night and stayed all day. But I can always find things to be thankful for. I am thankful for my husband and my sweet dog. I am thankful that our Christmas lights are still up and the tree is still up and our house still looks beautiful. I am thankful we have food in the fridge to eat. I am making salmon with vegetables for dinner. And I am thankful that I still have one extra day to ship out my eBay items.

@just4him Thanks. I am too. It has really ruined our week. But the new year is coming and although we are supposed to have rain through Sunday, Monday is supposed to be sunny.
