How Do You Filter Your Water?

Philippines

For several years now, we've used a Brita Pitcher that we refill with tap water and change the cartridge every month. No need to buy 5-gallon bottles anymore from refilling stations to lift and tilt into the water dispenser. This Christmas, we were given a Wassernison single water filter that you attach to the faucet. It takes up space at the sink and the hose gets in the way. You also have to turn this black "switch" first. The upside is you don't have to wait if you need a pitcher of water in a hurry. But me being me, I still drink from the faucet. It just tastes better to me.

@soymex So the water from the mountains is the same that goes to your faucet but it's not treated?

@merrybelle2021 I live in the mountain area, the water is natural , it does not pass through various containers. However , I have filters, and I change them once a month !

Most people in the US don't use a water filter. The water from our faucet should be fresh and clean. It's treated before being routed to our homes.

@merrybelle2021 Yes, I mostly drink bottled water but I don't know how much other people do that. I use tap water when I'm cooking.

We don't have those water filters for now. We get our drinking water from our water refilling station for now as we find them more convenient and safer. Drinking straight from the tap right now is not reliable anymore as there are times that water turbidity is common nowadays.

@merrybelle2021 I see those in the malls at times, but we just brush it off. We might check them out if we can afford it

It's attached to the faucet itself so you don't have to buy/order water anymore from the refilling stations. It's better than the small Brita pitcher when you need a lot of water. Here's how it looks like. The small tube/faucet feels like I'm at the dentist. Hehe.

We don't drink tap water because the quality of water here is not potable. We buy bottled water . Worms usually come from our tap water. It's good you're able to drink water from your faucet , and not bother anymore with bottled water.
