Archie acts like a derp but he's a smart cat

Archie is my dad's cat, and he's a big clumsy lummox but he's smart. Last night after dad went to bed, he got up in front of the TV and started fussing. Turns out there is a cat toy up there and he wanted to play. So after he tired me out, I put the toy back up and went to bed.
This morning, there it was on the floor, and the laser mouse was there too. So I put the toys back up, left the room, and when I came back, there was Archie fussing for the toy again. Busted.
So we played for a while and then I put it back.
He also likes his cat treats, and when he wants them he will knock everything off the table until you give him his treats.
Spoiled but smart.

I like your dad's cat Archie since he reminds me of Burt and Bond who like to take naps on my bed during the day since a fan is nearby to cool them off.

He's a beautiful cat! I have four, I had five until we had to have one put down in October due to kidney failure that came from out of nowhere.
Cats are very smart! Some thing they're not as intelligent as dogs but I beg to differ. They may not be as willing to learn "tricks" or follow commands like dogs do but that doesn't mean they're dumb. They know exactly how to get what they want.
Mine know when it's time for their treats everyday and they line up in their regular positions and won't move until they get them.

I never heard the word "derp" before. A new one for me. Sounds like he is a pretty smart cat and knows how to get what he wants.

Nico is always complaining about something...It generally revolves around food, but sometimes he is lonely or wants the door open to the back room so he can hang out in there.

Definitely a smart cat. I have only dogs to played with but I had cats before.
