Ed and Lorraine Warren were famous paranormal researchers. Lorraine is a psychic/clairvoyant, trance medium and can see auras. Ed lived in a haunted house from an early age until he was twelve and grew up to be a self-professed demonologist, lecturer, and author. They became famous when they were called in on such cases as The Amityville Horror and The Conjuring projects which were later made into movies. They have often brought out evil objects that defied science which they secured in their home in Monroe, Connecticut. These artifacts that had been collected since the '50s were collected in their basement which they made into a museum. The Warren's Occult Museum was open until Lorraine died in April 2019.
It is said that the most dangerous of the objects that had been collected over the years was a Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle. It had been given to a young nurse in 1970. The doll began to move and even was found in different rooms when no one had moved it. It could be found with legs crossed on the couch or even standing and leaving on a chair. The owner might leave it in one room and when she returned the doll would be in another. Messages were found also in the handwriting of a small child. Through a medium, the owner of the doll was contacted by a spirit named Annabelle Higgins. The spirit was that of a young girl who lived near where the owner lived now. The spirit was given permission to inhabit the doll which later proved to be a mistake.
There were occurrences of friends of the owner becoming paralyzed and strangled by what these people believed to be Annabelle. It was later examined by Ed and Lorraine who concluded that the doll was not possessed but was being manipulated by an inhuman force to create an illusion of it being alive and able to do these things. Ed and Lorraine believed that the next step would be to possess a human host. The two took the doll and it was housed at the museum in a locked wooden box with a warning on it telling people not to touch it.
I did try to find out what happened to all the objects housed in the museum but found no answers.

I have heard of dolls that have killed persons albeit it was on the television show like "The Twilight Zone" that featured a talking doll named Tina that was nice to people until someone tried to harm her when she turned into a killer of the lead character of the show who was the late Telly Savalas who played a mean dad to his daughter who like the doll.
