Quilt Design Suggestions?

I'm creating a quilt for my son's school teacher, to be given to her at year's end from the children in the class. This is the tentative design I have come up with and was wondering if mylot'ers might have suggestions or tips on anything the quilt design still could use before I set it up for quilting this weekend? The color wheel is significant to this teacher's own personal tastes and is done in pink, white, gray, black, turquoise, green, purple and red. The outside edge of the design has the hand tracings of all the children in the class, as well as the teacher, in coordinated colors. So any suggestions?
