The new year found me fast asleep. But the morning started off fine. Quite. But overall it was boring for me.

@NatsuYeung Personally in my family we visit our parents on Christmas till New year. At times we gather as a family and go for an outing but this time was a bit difficult due to some unavoidable circumstances.

I see you are from Spain. How do you usually celebrate New year's Eve and New year's day there? Back home we usually do nothing on new year's day- we don't spend so we don't go out also if it means spending, we don't work it's an old practice- and has something to do with what you're doing on new year's day influencing your life for the coming year

My New Years was boring. It was spent with both me and my husband sick taking turns taking care of our kids. So yeah not fun.

So sorry to hear that. hope you all get better soon. It is hard being parents- you can't just take the day off when you don't feel like it so even if we are sick we still need to be able to take care of family.

@NatsuYeung you can take the day off as parents when your sick it just depends on the age of the children and if your the only one. If they where older both of us adults be of sick is no big deal or if it’s just one us.

The same as I always do. Okay well this time, my husband was awake and we watched the end of Home alone.

haha! Does your husband usually sleep in when New Year comes? When I was living with my parents we would have New Year's Dinner but they would be asleep by the time !2AM comes so I would be asleep myself (no sense in celebrating at home without the family) or I would go out with friends. Those were fond memories!
