Do You Like the Bee Gees?

The other night I decided to watch one of the many movies I have saved on our DVR. What caught my eye was a Bee Gees concert. It was so good that I ended up watching 2 Bee Gees' concerts and 1 Bee Gees' documentary.
In addition to having 20 #1 hits, they wrote more than 1,000 songs for themselves and other artists including Celine Dion, Dolly Parton, Barbra Streisand, etc.
Sadly only one Gibb brother remains...Barry. Andy died from affects of taking drugs, Maurice died of complications from a surgical procedure and Robin died of cancer. Andy had been a solo artist but just joined the other brothers mere months before he died.
It's hard to pick one song to feature here in this Discussion; but here's one of their biggest hits: "Night Fever" from "Saturday Night Fever":

No, I don’t care for them.
(For those of you who don’t know, I counted down my ten favorite Bee Gees songs last year. )

@LindaOHio — please do! I have no copyright on top ten lists. If I did, I could have sued David Letterman!

@FourWalls Thanks. There are a lot of different ones I'd like to do; but chances are they would duplicate something that you've done. If you don't care, then I will have at it!

They're not one of my favourites but I do like them. The thing that gets me is the high pitched singing voices. They sound like they've breathed in helium before they start singing!

They actually found that the public responded very positively to the new sound.

The Bee Gees I grew up with was the Disco era of the 70s, but someone told me the other day that they had been around since the 60s and that their music prior to the Disco era was a totally different sound.

That's correct. The Bee Gees never wanted to be known as a Disco group. They're much more rounded than that. Here are two songs from the 60s:

I love the Bee Gees. Recently, there was a thing on TV dedicated to the Bee Gees where other artists sang their songs. It was a few years ago I think. It was really nice.

I love them. My favorite song is Staying Alive. I remember back in the day as an early teen turning on the radio to the pop station. The first time I heard Staying Alive (after the movie Saturday Night Fever came out), I thought that is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. I then begged my Mom to buy me the Saturday Night Fever record album. That was my prized album. I still have it today even though I can't play it anymore since I don't have a record player anymore. I just go to YouTube to listen to it now.

I like their pre-disco music the best. So many terrific songs. Sad there is only Barry left. There was a PBS concert special on the Bee Gees that was really good. From one hit to the next extraordinary!
Fun fact: "How Deep Is Your Love" is the most covered of all their songs, with over 400 versions.
