Breaking News! Cat people, I need your feedback.

I was laying in bed when I heard Kitty meow outside. The meow was a combination of "I'm ready to come in" and "I'm not sure if I want to play with you now." As most you know, I don't like Rapist Kitty, Kitty's boyfriend. I believe he hangs around with raccoons, and all he and Kitty do is argue. I opened my front door and saw Kitty talking to a cute orange cat I have never seen before. Orange Cat was on the sidewalk at ground level. The orange cat looked up and me and did not seem skittish. I meowed at it, and it continued to look at me. I told Kitty it was OK to make a new friend, as long as said friend was from decent family and did not hang out with raccoons or other ruffians. I went inside. Five minutes later, I opened the door. The orange cat was gone, and Kitty came inside. We discussed the situation, and I told her again that was a big cat (she's actually pretty small) and could make her own decisions. She took a couple of bites of her dry food and then went out on the balcony where she sat, looking pretty much like the French Lieutenant's Woman, gazing out to sea (in this case, a parking lot). Cat people, what do you think. Will she protect Chez Horse? Will she make another friend? Will she invite her new friend in for dry food when I'm gone? As you know, I am new to this cat thing.

Kitty is training you very well. She still hasn't gotten the knack of getting you to only supply her with wet food, but I'm sure the time will come. As far as her new friend, don't let them in or you'll become the "cat lady" of your apartment building.

@TheHorse Soon you'll start inviting the raccoons in for tea. That's when we'll know you've actually become "the cat lady" of myLot.

@askme123 No, it's just because he's kind of a jerk to Kitty. They always wind up arguing.

I think Kitty will just be happy having her friends stay outside unless she is in heat. I hope she has been fixed.

Cats are territorial, may be she will enjoy the company of the orange cat time by time, but I do not believe she will invite the new friend inside "HER" home.

I am sure that she has told her new friend that there is food to be had from you. Probably also that you are a good human, So let her be friends with the cat but watch out if you ever let that cat come in you are going to have two cats,

I vote for the new friend. Rapist Kitty should find another female.

@LindaOHio Rapist Kitty WAS devoted to his owner (a middle-aged white male like me). He (Rapist Kitty) was not MY friend, but I hope he has found peace. Away from by beloved, innocent, beautiful Kitty.

I don't think because I'm blonde. But if I did think, I'd say that she will protect Chez Horse....That sounds like a great resturant.

I know that Rapist Kitty came into my house a few times when I wasn't there. I had to chase him out a couple of times.
