I need to not hurry so much.

I was getting ready to go to my daughter's. Had a load of clothes ready for the dryer, as soon as they were dry, I was going to leave. So I was hurrying, tossed them in the dryer, and instead of a dryer softener sheet, I put a laundry soap pod in the dryer, shut the door, and started to push the start button when I realized what I had done, just in time! I would imagine I would have had a horrible mess. That's what I get for hurrying too fast.

I would imagine the explosion that would've caused. Good thing you caught it before you got to far in the drying cycle.

@MarieCoyle Which is even better. You stopped it before it started.

I always check the lint trap again before I start the dryer, that's when I realized it.

I'm sure it would not have been any good at all. I need to not let myself get so stressed.

@MarieCoyle I often do the same, I run around doing things and I make mistakes.

That happens to my mother too when she thinks of so many things or is too busy. We need presence of mind

@MarieCoyle don't worry. All will be fine. I also used to hurry for most years of my life but it ended up giving me nothing but stress and worry.

Well I'm glad you caught it in time . Though not a soap pod, I know I've let a dryer cycle go and realized afterwards that something was in the dryer that shouldn't have been .

@MarieCoyle I can totally relate - I cringe thinking about our ink pen incidents. A few weeks ago we had fluorescent green stuff ALL over the laundry . . . it would not come off after a second wash. It came off with a toothbrush scrubbing - but not on certain fabrics - in any case it took a long time because it was everywhere. It was my son's foamy clay stuff .

Not long ago, my son was doing laundry at his house. He missed checking one of the kid's pockets, and it had an ink pen in it, needless to say it was a huge mess. Took several days to get all the ink out of the washer, and he had to call a repairman to pull the tub and clean the underside. I couldn't believe he missed the pen, because he has always been so thorough in checking pockets. He was so mad at himself.

Not sure what you mean, I'm sorry. I didn't mention a sister...I have no living siblings at all.
