My supervisor is going to observe me. Hooray! I don't like him and he doesn't like me. Somehow we've managed to just limit our contact and have decent observation interactions. On one hand I always hope he will retire and on the other hand I don't because he is so hands-off. He doesn't micromanage at all. I can send 2 weeks worth of lesson plans that say "cells" and list my methods as "lectures, review worksheets, video clips, EdPuzzles, study guide, and written assessment" and he is totally fine with that.
I'm just so happy that he wants to see a bio class and not the forensics hot mess. I'll do either a microscope lab or a group webquest about Henrietta Lacks. The admins just loooooooooove seeing group work.
I hate this dog and pony show crap. This is my 21st year of teaching. I know what I am doing.

I can't say I blame you. But the observations are designed to ensure you meet the standards required for the school board's satasification. I am sure he knows you know what you're doing and wants to do this about as much as you do.

Why can't they just trust your teaching abilities? After your track record of 21 years doing service, within the classroom. Shouldn't that be enough to make them happy? I guess not!

I know you're frustrated; but the school must prove that certain standards are being met to keep getting funding.
