I had my booster shot last Tuesday and after 24 hours I had chills and fever. I have to take the day off from work as I still have slight fever. I have an important meeting on Friday afternoon that I need to fully recharge and recover. Has anyone felt the same side effect after having the booster shot? I only take paracetamol and drank plenty of water.

Did you take any medicine after getting the shot? Good you don't feel any. Yes feeling of tiredness and heavyness is usual.

@florelway with my first the next day I took Tylenol but with my second like I said I want sick or anything so I didn’t take anything the next day. I was doing my normal stuff around the house. I even have post for the day after and one was me saying I was feeling fine. It was back in October. Just so you know it was two different shots I havd J and J which only had one does now they have a second but back in October when I had mine done it was Pfizer since they had second and third that was approved and was told if you had any of the other vaccinations it was okay to get Pfizer as a second or third does

I had arm pain and slight tiredness after both of my vaccines.
So far booster doses are here for health workers and those above 60 years.
I hope that you get fine in time for your meeting.

@florelway
That is good to know!
I am tired of the Covid 19 pandemic and the restrictive world.
Hopefully all vaccinations and boosters would help!!

I get a reaction from nearly every shot I have to get. Never fails. Covid vaccines were no different, the booster gave me a day on the sofa dozing, a slight fever, and general feeling of tired. Then it was gone for the most part. I have lost many friends and family members to Covid, so I am just glad to have had the booster rather than the disease, at least so far. I took Tylenol and drank lots of water, too.

That's right drinking water helps. if you're only drinking a liter a day make it 2 liters.

Now I see your post about getting your booster. I get mine tomorrow. The last 2 times, I started feeling awful the night that I got the shot. I started to feel bad about 6 hours after each shot. After the first one I was better the next day. After the second shot, I felt bad for a full 24 hours. Gee, I can't wait until Thursday!!! I am going to wear my cozy pajamas to bed tomorrow night.
