Now the test kits are available in the market to test covid19 at home. But are they completely reliable. Doctors suggest that even after you conduct tests at home, it is advisable to get the labs test done. Then what is the point of making test kits available when they do not serve the purpose?

Money. An extra layer of profit for big Pharm. You pay twice for a reliable result. I would imagine that fake kits will be hitting the market from the regular crooks too. And welcome to MyLot. I hope you enjoy your time here.

No need to wait for fake kits. The ones available are only right about 50% of the time.

@DaddyEvil The government of all countries should see to it that such kits do not come to the market at all. There is no sense in testing first at home and then getting tested at the lab again to confirm it. If lab tests are more authentic, the person affected should get it tested at the lab straightway. Is there a point in spending twice for the same test?

@Royaltouch We don't pay for the lab tests in the US. It's only if someone is dumb enough to buy the home tests that they have to pay for one.

All the reports that I've read say the home test is only accurate 50% of the time. So, basically, you can take a guess and be just as accurate as that test.

I think the point for making them while you still need lab tests is to make money

I agree. Money plays an important role and not the health or care of others

In here they give us kits to test kids at home before they go to school. I doubt that all parents test their kids or test them right... Is just about money and publicity...if you really have a health problem you go the doctors where they test you right.

It is recommended in the laboratory if the test done at home is positive!

Whether the result is negative or positive, you can never be sure if it is 100 percent correct.
