Miami Dade Marine Patrol Officer Nelson Silva is being praised as a savior to a dolphin that was trapped inside of a net in the sea near Miami Florida last month. The reason the story is now being made public is that the Miami Dade police decided to release the body camera footage on social media recently. Officer Silva responded to an emergency call about a dolphin needing to be rescued. The police officer used a pole to get the dolphin that was trapped the net close to his boat. After Officer Silva turned off the engine of his boat, he used a knife to break the net from the dolphin who then went back into the sea near the Shorecrest area. Even though Officer Silva cut his finger when he used the knife to free the dolphin, he is happy to do his duty to free the dolphin from being tangled in a net.

I'm so glad Silva rescued the dolphin. People should be more careful with what they put into the water.
