Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I was last here on Mylot. I hope everything is alright with you. I am well and I hope you are, too. January is my getting rid of some things that I don’t use anymore. It is a Spring cleaning month for me. Well, it is still winter but not as cold as it used to be years ago. 3 of my orchids plants in my living room are blooming. They look beautiful. Some of my Spring bulbs like tulips are sprouting from their pots. They will be showing their beauty soon. Do you do Spring cleaning in January? Thank you for reading. I am going to reply to the notifications I got after posting this discussion. Some are already gone I suppose. Have a nice new week! Take care always.

I feel like you are very talented to be able to get your orchids to bloom, I cannot even keep them alive. Here we are just keeping cozy inside. We cannot really reorganize because all of the places that we donate to are closed due to covid restrictions.

It is too cold to spring clean in January. You are lucky with your orchids, they look beautiful. Mine are not yet blooming.

@thelme55 Inside the house I clean every week, I consider the "spring cleaning" opening the windows to wash the windows glass inside and outside, taking down all the curtains and washing them.

@LadyDuck I do the same every week but my „spring cleaning“ is sorting out things and cleaning the kitchen cupboards and wardrobe once a year. Throwing things that I don’t need anymore. I have cleaned my windows and washed the curtains before the Christmas. I will do it again in May.

I am cleaning inside the house so it is not cold. Yes, I am very lucky and was very happy seeing their bloom a few days ago. Thank you @LadyDuck. Have a nice week.

Good to see you here. Those are lovely orchids. I have to have a housekeeper. She helps me with cleaning and decluttering.

@LindaOHio With a big house, you need a housekeeper. I always have a help when I am in my house n the Philippines as it is too big for me to clean. I only want to do something in my garden there.

I don’t do spring cleaning but I have been trying to clear the closets out so have been donating and selling things. Your orchids sure do look pretty. I killed an ivy plant and poinsettia plant this past week so I’m down to only three cactuses now.

@thelme55 my husband knows how bad I am with plants so when he walked in with the poinsettia a few days before Christmas I was like thanks but why

@shaggin Well, there’s no harm in trying to let that plant live for long.

Your orchids are beautiful. I need to get motivated so I can get things organized into groups to see what I do or do not wish to keep. I actually dread the task.

Spring cleaning was once a big thing but mostly it seems to be up to individuals if they do this or not. It's good to have a good clean now and then and get rid of things no longer needed.

Hello Thelma.. In Indonesia there is no spring. is currently approaching the end of the rainy season. it feels like when the rain comes, I'm lazy to do anything. I want to go to summer soon so I can be more enthusiastic about activities

Hi @Saniars! It’s nice to meet you. I also want to have summer again. Winter time makes me sleepy and lazy. We still have Spring but at least the sun is shining today. We have rain these past few days. Thank you for responding my post.
