Pesky ants

One of my rooms is somewhat infested with ants. These ants have bitten and stung me on many occasions. I have used some sprays to kill a few ants, but after a few days, the ants again keep on coming. What do you suggest? What should I do to drive away ants from my house? It is an excruciating experience when ants attack you. I abhor ants and want my house to be free of them. Ants are a mayhem and a nuisance for any household. I think that I have to cut down a few trees and uproot some plants. I feel that ants are coming from those areas. It's always disappointing to cut down trees and plants, especially in the times of global warming. But, that is inevitable as I have to think about the present at first. If I don't remove trees and plants, my house will be a breeding ground for insects. The place where I live is a bit wet. That is why, insects like this place. I feel that cleaning my garden will also help me stay away from mosquitoes and flies also. Please keep your suggestions pouring in. I think you will agree with me on many fronts.

I drew insect chalk around and under my sleeping mat (I sleep on the floor) when I encountered an ant infestation.

That is a simple yet efficacious thought.

Identify the ants. Find out where they nest and what food attracts them. Purchase a poison that can be put out that they bring back to the nest. Take care that people or pets can't access the poison. Let the ants do what they do and soon, the nests will be killed off. Take the knowledge you gained and clear out likely areas for nests. Removing any standing water will help keep mosquito populations down.
