Teens Take on an Important Adult Roll

Across the nation, there is a need for workers in all areas. Even in the EMTs in local firehouses 35% are volunteers and 69% of firehouses are struggling to find help. Older EMTs either won't and can't go back to work in this field. In New York state a person can be an EMT at age 17 and can assist at an even earlier age. Some local high schoolers in Sacket's Harbor New York took the required training and are now EMTs. Locals say these 'kids' are very professional and really know their business.

@LindaOHio Unfilled jobs, yes, contrary to the very high unemployment rate. Corporations are so greedy for profit they would hire a few overworked underpaid workers and extract as much sweat as they can.
