Yesterday's weather in review 1-22

So I was outside yesterday. The temperature crept above freezing (around 37 in direct sunlight and 33 in the shade). Overall not a warm day but not freezing. The way weather works in the Washington DC area, has to do with wind direction. If the wind is purely from the north we get cold air. If the wind is from the south we get hot air. Right now it is wind from the north. It actually has a name. It is the Canadian Clipper. how was the weather in your world?

The wind totally stopped, the moon had an aura this morning, but now the sky is clear and the sun shining. Cold, but not under 32.

When I was a child, the 'Albany doctor' was a cool breeze that would blow up most summer nights from the south and cool us down.

@DocAndersen Yes, it's on the south coast and 269 kms (167 miles) from where our farm was.

C O L D. A perfect day to stay inside and throw another log on the fire (unless you don’t have a fireplace, then please DON’T).

Last weekend we had snow and it started melting some. Now it's in the 50's today. They say we might get snow again this weekend. I hope not because Chris (my boyfriend) is coming down for a visit again.
