Someone gave me a perfume. The thing is I don't wear it because of my rhinitis. You know when you smell fish being fried, perfume, black pepper, dusts, almost anything- you sneeze. You sneeze and sneeze. This is me sometimes. So I had a video call with my niece telling her am sending her a bottle of perfume. The young lady was very much delighted. cologne i think is much better.

It depends on the brand too. Some perfume even cologne has offensive smells which could trigger rhinitis and sinusitis

@florelway yes but I just could not appreciate it. I prefer Victoria's secret colognes.

I understand your situation. I was too had severe rhinitis when I was young and all sorts of smells (bad or good) somehow affects me and I could not use any perfume or powder on me else my rhinitis would act up badly on me. Fortunately, I somehow outgrew that and my rhinitis just faded away in time for some reason. I seldom have those episodes anymore.

Really? I was going to ask what did you do because there is no cure for rhinitis. I think you have a stronger immune system at this age. I get it once or twice a year or even thrice and it stays with me for a week or so

@Janet357 I think they just smell the sweetness like when a can of soda is left on a table and bees go to it.

Some things make me sneeze too. Usually I sneeze three times straight off and that's it.

I can’t wear any perfume with a strong scent or I’d sneeze my head off.

Well, as long as you don't sneeze cuz of the foods you like that can't be too bad, right? I'm not one for wearing perfumes or colognes

@Janet357 - It makes me nauseous, particularly people with strong perfumes in restricted areas.

I don't often get an attack of the sneezes. But my partner - he never sneezes just once, he goes on and on!
