Hi everyone. I haven't been here for long time
I hope all of you are doing well.
So my question is what are your thoughts about a teacher who suddenly stops communicating with you.I never had any problems before with this particular teacher, he used to keep me well informed about my son's progress, phoned me few times about school trips and things like that. Then after one parents evening online he just stopped answering my emails and even doesn't respond to my son when he greets him. My son finds this a bit offensive and can't understand this reaction. Both my son and his teacher used to have a very good relationship, but this doesn't seem to be the case now. As my son is going to college in September I had to ask his teacher for reference( again he didn't email me back to aknowledge the receipt of email like he used to) and surprisingly the reference he gave my son was amazing. He wrote that my son is a very polite , hardworking and inquisitive young man but this problem with the communication puzzles me. Any ideas of what may have gone wrong.

This is a question best taken up with a school counselor.
Something may have been said that turned things sour, the educator may have burnout or could be busy with other students or parents to respond in a timely manner.
It's a question that needs an answer. Schools stress the importance of communication between teachers and parents so if a teacher isn't responding, you need to speak with someone there that can find out why.
I hope you can get this resolved quickly.

Hmm... can you remind me how to award you with "Best Response" now?

I think you need to be direct about it, and find out what could have gone wrong. But, that's just my opinion.
