My husband's TV is at the far end of the house away from our router. He only receives the WiFi signal on an intermittent basis. This affects his watching YouTube which he really enjoys.
I finally decided to order a WiFi Range Extender. I ordered the Netgear Nighthawk EX7000 AC1900. It's able to handle a greater distance and at faster speeds.
It should be delivered within the next few days; and I hope that I will be able to set it up without a problem. Usually Best Buy delivers the next day; but this item is on delay.
UPDATE: Netgear gives support for the first 90 days, so they will be able to help me if I get stuck.
Have you purchased any new electronic items lately?

@LindaOHio The "Devolo" plugs work really well, we have more than one at each floor.

I have similar product at home and it works well. As to my dad's home, he bought an expensive router and it can transfer singal in a further distance and therefore he doesn't need the wifi range extender. I think it works even better than wifi range extender.

I bought a small circuit board to use the functional monitor of a defective laptop as an auxiliary monitor for my current laptop. It's a sort of an interface between the monitor and my laptop's HDMI port.

It's all above my head. I'm only marginally technology savvy!

I only buy what I absolutely need because all that new technology is so confusing!
