14 inches of snow so far

We have over a foot of snow so far and it is still coming own. The local weather guy that I follow on FB said that it will probably continue to snow until about 4 pm. That's 6 more hours of snowfall. Yikes. I hear someone from maintenance out there with a leaf blower clearing off the stairs and landings. They were plowing early this morning but I haven't seen them go by in a couple of hours. The parking lot is all covered again. I guess anyone who needed to get out to go to work will have already done so. Everyone in my building is a bunch of slackers. No one has cleared off their cars or attempted to go anywhere. I was watching Giada on Food Network before and she was making bolognese. That sounds really good with homemade pappardelle pasta. I don't have much ground beef in the freezer though and it is frozen so I don't think that is going to happen today. Maybe tomorrow. I have everything else I need including the red wine. I'll have to figure out a different snow day cooking project or two for today. It is too late for bread. Maybe I'll do the pappardelle pasta and some crab cakes. Stay tuned!

This weather sucks. We didn't budge when we got our snowstorm. I don't blame your neighbors! I vote for the crab cakes! Yum! Stay safe and warm.

@NJChicaa I would love to know what you put in your crab cakes. There are so many different recipes.

Eh, yes that is bad and a lot, but the North East can manage they always do. I know I lived there for years.

When Pretty and I forget to lay out ground beef to thaw, I fill a sink with warm water and put the sealed package of ground beef in it. It will take about fifteen to twenty minutes for it to fully thaw.

I don’t know how you live in such cold weather. When our temps get to the twenties and thirties I’m cold.

I HATE winter, most of fall, and the early part of spring. 60 degrees F is as low as I'm willing to go.

I see in some parts of the globe winters become more stronger year by year, a lot of snow falling in a short period of time. We need here for skying and it is almost not enough. You can send us few!
