I was interested to note in the past few years that I have been using the Ibotta app, I have gotten 300.00 cash back..![](/Content/images/emotes/w00t.gif)
. This even includes a six month period in which I was not using the app. The majority of the purchases are things I would have purchased anyway, and some were newer products that I would not have bought necessarily, but it was good to try them. In my opinion, Ibotta is the best shopping cash back for purhases app or program there is. I have gotten mad at them a few times for not crediting purchases, but as long as you do what you are supposed to do, and buy the specific product you are supposed to..it's all good!
. Do you use any cashback shopping apps?

I don't like them, because I didn't get credited 5.00 worth of points one time.

Yeah, I think all of my credit cards are set up for that, but I try not to use credit cards at all. It's a slippery slope. There are times, you have to though. I am very conscious of any new debt I put on my card. I typically won't do it unless it is an emergency, or it just makes sense to.

@Juliaacv If I have a cash shortage and need it to be buy gas or a prescription I will do it, but mostly, they are there to buy things that I want to have the protection if a purchase goes bad. Or, if something is a bit expensive to buy with cash ear marked for other things..
