Do you carry your own special Tea brand wherever you go?

You may felt odd on reading the question, probably never heard about carrying the particular tea brand with you wherever you go and ask people to use the tea powder with you before they making tea for you.
I had such an experience yesterday. There was a visitor for us, on asking whether the person would like to have a tea, answer was, “yes, please wait”. After some time I entered the kitchen to make the tea, the person asked me whether I am going to make the tea, I said yes, the person told me to collect the tea powder from that person, also requested, do not use your own tea powder.
I have never seen such a brand and on making tea it has some difference too.
If I have my own tea brand perhaps I may refuse to have tea from the place if I visit any one.
Do you have a particular tea brand? Will you carry the same wherever you go?

Mostly people here drink coffee, not tea. If I go somewhere and am offered something to drink, I'll ask for plain water if I'm thirsty.

@DaddyEvil But why?
Indian water is so safe to drink. No idea about Mexico though

I am not much of tea person and any brand is okay with me if the tea is with cardamom or ginger. I just want no sugar and so ginger or cardamom for the flavour. I do make that request when I go to someone's house.
My husband has two sisters and they carry their brand whenever they visit my house to spend few days. One likes Patel tea and other one is particular about Makaibari. They make their own tea when they come here or go to my in laws place.

@arunima25 I am supporting your views, otherwise the person won't carry the powder and ask people to use the same where the person goes.

A diabetic person is always make that request, 'do not add sugar'. Anyone can understand that request. If the relatives are visiting then also no problem if they are carrying their own brand. This was an official visit, however, I agree the person might have any health issues and that may be reason behind the demand.

@Sreekala Yes. And now that I have worked with people with sensory issues and these are invisible ones and tough to understand them if we don;t relate to it. Maybe this person has one and any change of taste, smell or texture can be way too upsetting for him/her. I am just thinking it loud..maybe that's the reason.

I used to not be a tea drinker. But now I do consider myself a tea drinker. I mainly drink either raspberry or chai tea lattes. I don't carry it around with me. But I have seen a person do that once in a restaurant.

I don't have any specific favorite brand but I especially love the taste of black tea. When you have scones or biscuits to go along with it, then it'll be a great snack time for sure.

@Sreekala I've never tried it before. I only put it in spaghetti and exotic noodles. Perhaps I should sometime. Thanks for the tip.

I'm a huge herbal tea drinker. I don't have a particular brand, as long as it's high quality and does NOT contain any extra "flavors". A lot of the times I don't even use any tea brands, just leaves, powders, flowers, seeds etc.
If I'm invited somewhere I don't take any drinks, and I refuse any food offering that is unhealthy. Sometimes I'd rather do a fast and say "I'm just here for the company" which is also not true lol, in my case, most of the times it's a favor to my husband to accept an invitation to a friend's or relative's home.
I honestly don't care if they find it rude of me, I always take care of what goes into my mouth no matter where I am (mostly because I know that I'm the one who has to deal with the consequences later).
