Is it crazy I feel like an alien?

Is it crazy that I feel like an alien here? Often I feel that I don't belong here. I feel that I am a misfit in the present scenario in more than one way here. Do you feel the same way sometimes for any reason?
Is it because I grew up in last century? Is it because I was taught Christian moral values? Is it because I try to live those moral values in a largely non- Christian society?
In general, I trusted in human goodness.
However, since the day I began building a house for my family, I have met dishonesty, greed, selfishness, disrespect for other humans almost at every step.
In general, l encountered bad, bad devilish persons out there who cheated me of my money. I met people who casually told lies and led me astray.
Though I am not a fool I was led to do things that I now realise were unwise.
I question myself, is this earth not a place for honest, good, caring, charity-oriented, God-loving persons of good will? Am I an alien here?

Hopefully, we will also come across others who have high morals and ethical practices. I'm sorry you are encountering so many nasty people. Unfortunately, you probably need to be more distrusting of people, especially those that you're doing business with.

No everyone has a good heart like yours. That's what you should not forget. Maybe you should have looked for people of the same faith to handle your money and help you with the project.
Even in the book of Acts, the apostles chose Spirit filled people to handle the business of distributing food while they dedicated their time to prayer. Next time, you can apply this and maybe then you won't suffer again.

I'm so sorry and certainly can understand how you feel. It's so discouraging to encounter dishonesty. I know that our Christian values clash with the immorality of this world. But Jesus said, "Take heart, I have overcome the world." May God bless and keep you, my brother in Christ.

I had to trust some people as I had to get some work done. Unfortunately, for me my first contacts were wrong for me.

This earth is indeed a place of various kinds of human characters. Some are good, some are bad, some are honest and some are dishonest. Etc.
So you have to be able to accept it all because humans were created by God with various characters
If you are in this world, or among such evil people, then just go with it, without following their evil ways.
If you may as a person who is not evil, set a good example for them. That's why God put you among those dishonest, or evil people. That is to set an example of kindness to all of them. So that they can repent and change their bad attitude.
Be an alien who brings goodness to those around you, in a kind and honest way.

I never felt like I fit in anywhere (maybe that just means we are all unique and we're not supposed to fit in). And I've been through enough from my childhood that I'm not even wondering why I turned out an antisocial introvert with social anxiety disorder. Like we say in my country "whoever got burned with soup, will even blow the yogurt".
However, since the day I began building a house for my family, I have met dishonesty, greed, selfishness, disrespect for other humans almost at every step.
Me and my husband (especially my husband) experience these from others every single day.
I question myself, is this not a place for honest, good, caring, persons of good will?
And yet, once in a while we find people with these kinds of qualities. My husband is one of those people with these fine qualities and that's more than enough for me. Sometimes you only need just a few close people to brighten up your life and make you forget all the bad in the world.

I really agree that today's society advances at a speed that many of us are not used to and the development itself has caused us to feel strange due to the great loss of values and beliefs that have always promoted respect and solidarity in humanity, to me it also happens and I put myself in your place, have a happy day.

That's exactly what I see around. The great loss of values and beliefs is making the world an unhappy place.
