First Season of Netflix's ''In from the Cold'' answers many Questions, but Ends with a few unanswered

And--if you haven't seen the whole first season of IN FROM THE COLD--I'm going to spoil a few surprises (and they really were surprises ... not like the usual 'the good guys win'-surprises ...).
The first question that was answered (in a way): "What's so special about Jenny that--even though she's now a newly single mom--she has to go back into whatever dangerous life she had before?"
We learn that answer at the end of the first episode, when she finds her way into an empty bathroom and slowly, painfully morphs into an old man.
The Yaroslav Program was a modification that they made to her back in her days as a Soviet spy, that allowed her to transform (in appearance, at least) into anyone whose DNA she came into contact-with.
The link I'll put below leads to a fuller summary of the series. But basically ...
Jenny's former handler is using another Soviet espionage-technology to force people to do bad things, so a CIA-agent enlists Jenny to help him track down her former handler (who--we find out way later--is operating under the name Gideon).
Jenny's daughter Becca is a figure-skater in a tournament being run in a rink that happens to be owned by 'Gideon' (under the name Svetlana Petrova). Svetlana 'kidnaps' Becca (or 'lets her stay over the night befor the tournament') and puts her under the 'do a bad thing'-hypnosis with plans to make her 'spring into action' against a visiting Senator.
We learn that Jenny's handler was actually her mother (and Becca's grandmother).
Jenny manages to stop Becca just before she can 'spring into action,' and shoots her in the ear (I think? enough to 'deprogram her' but not enough to kill her); and--casually morphing through all the disguises we've seen her use throughout the season--chases after Svetlana, gets her to confess her whole plan, and vanquishes her (in cold blood ).
The first question I have leftover: How is Jenny doing the 'casual morphing' as she chases Svetlana---morphing that (for the rest of the season) was a slow, painful process?
Also, how much did Jenny tell Becca after she recovered from the head-wound? Does Becca know that Svetlana was her grandmother? that Jenny eliminated Svetlana? that Jenny is still a Russian spy? (something WE learn in the very last scene)
And what does 'being a Russian spy' even mean? Is Russia--as Svetlana said while 'unveiling her plan' just before Jenny offed her--"the good guys this time"?

That seems a very good show if you like that sort of show.
On another note, I have always liked the name Svetlana

@RebeccasFarm And interesting to listen to them talk ... at least 'with the subtitles underneath.' I don't think it would be as interesting without them (although it would still be 'pretty mouth-noises' )
