How could someone with so much money be so stupid?

So he drove his car at twice the speed limit, killed his girlfriend, and faces charges. When I have kids or loved ones in my car, I drive extra careful. One of the kids I used to mentor asked me, "How come you drive like a Grandpa?" I said, "Because I am hauling 'precious cargo.'" Yes, I explained "precius cargo" to him. He was about 13 at the time. And then I saved his life, as he put it. But more on that another time. Would you drive like an idiot with loved ones or kids in your car?
Washington Football Team safety Deshazor Everett turned himself in to a Virginia jail on an involuntary manslaughter charge after an investigation found he was speeding before his sports car slammed into trees and rolled over, killing his passenger. Everet

I don't drive like an idiot even when I am alone in the car. I figure a moving vehicle is a pretty dangerous weapon and needs to be handled with care.

this is quite unfair, I know people who have high salaries in the office, but are very stupid, just confused when opening e-mails, can't even communicate with Line or WA, and don't even know what copy paste is.

That's pretty sad. Are they just waiting for retirement?

Ah, it was involuntary manslaughter. I was expecting Murder 1.

I don't think money = intelligence. Just look at the bad behaviour of some of the wealthiest people, and the smart actions of many "poor" people.

Hey, what's your take on the truckers on the border in Canada? Are they hurting anyone other than the locals with their actions?

@TheHorse The are being a real nuisance. Residents in the area had to go to court to get an injunction to stop the incessant honking. Not to mention blocking traffic at the border. I see it as their attempt at a January 6. Because they have raised over 8 million in gofundme, they don't need to work they can just hang out and annoying everyone else.

That is amazes me about some sports stars who make money playing a kids game driving like crazy with their autos instead of driving careful like we are supposed to do or else face stiff fines.

In this case it was more than fines. I could not live with myself if I killed someone because of stupidity.

Never, I’ve never had a speeding ticket or any ticket. But some people drive like maniacs.

@TheHorse I think a lot of times people are hurrying to work or home and want to get there as fast as possible. Some drive many miles to and from work, others I think get a kick out of speeding.

I love your response - its hard to be annoyed at someone you've referred to as 'precious'. I feel much the same about various safety measures I've been mocked for in years past, but I was determined to get my children to adulthood. It is sad that people often have a rather cavalier attitude to the safety of themselves and others. I found it interesting that the law to the ancient Israelites reflected our Creator's interest in taking sensible safety precautions. It said at Deuteronomy 22:8 If you build a new house, you must also make a parapet for your roof, so that you may not bring bloodguilt on your house because of someone falling from it.

Some people don't think when they get behind the wheel. At least he was smart enough to turn himself in. And, while blindness prevents me from driving, my husband is very careful when he takes me, or anyone, in our van.

He’s not the only one. Didn’t one of the Oakland/L.A./Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders kill a couple of people while driving drunk? AND try to claim his girlfriend was driving? Yes, rich and famous celebrity/sports star, it CAN happen to you.

Now that was the stupidest thing he could have ever done and his life is probably over or will never be the same, I no longer drive but when I did I was always extra careful with or even without passengers. Always considerate of the other driver saround me,

I drive like a Grandma all the time because now I'm afraid to drive. I used to go anywhere and everywhere. Now hubs does most of the driving; and it's even harder to ride in the car with him. He is not a defensive driver.

I agree with you, to always be careful in driving our vehicles. especially if we bring someone in it, whether family, friends, or people who are riding in our car.
