Osteoporosis also called thinning of the bones, is a nutritional disorder in pet animals especially in rabbits. It is caused due to the deficiency of calcium in the diet. Sometimes a case of the animals having sufficient calcium in their diet can also show the symptoms of this disorder which may because of the reason of phosphorus or vitamin D3 deficit diet. The absorption of calcium is affected if the does not contain a sufficient amount of phosphorus and vitamin D3 because of their interaction with calcium.

Thank you my dear my-lotter friend respected Anna from Switzerland for sharing your query to address once again. One should have also the care of two other nutrients along with calcium, namely phosphorus and vitamin D3. otherwise the calcium could not be absorbed in the body and the efforts will remain useless. Regards.
