As per some latest reports, Russia has pulled back thousands of troops from offensive positions along the Ukrainian border.
Some de-escalation is in progress.
I wonder if the whole exercise was meant to be something known as Coercive diplomacy?
Well only time can tell!

I don't think armies planning to attack would be in the business of announcing dates, most probably the assumption came from Western experts and the media.

With the kind of aggressive posturing Russia was doing, war seemed maddening but likely.
Yet overall it seems more like a show of power plus Diplomatic move!

Seems like Ukraine's bid to join NATO has been a big issue with Russia.
To maintain peace, Ukraine has indicated that it might not join NATO.
