I had started a post in the morning, but it flew away. I always wonder how come my parents gave me the unabridged book to read when I was 11. I have read it several times over the years. I haven´t liked any of the movies they have made because none of them had the passion of the book. Those lovers were bigger than life! Jane was merely 18 when she fell in love desperatly with much older Mr. Rochester. You should read it. Or read it again if you already have. This is no romantic novel. It is much more than that.

I haven't read this but one day I must. When I was young, our book of 'My Friend Flicka' had the front two pages carefully torn out because it contained a description of the birth of a foal. Things were a bit different in those days.

My girls were partically thrown out of school years ago because they cam one day to school very excited because they had seen a she goat give birth. We then went to the school and took them out. We did not want that type of education for our children.

@marguicha There were some very strange ideas around in those times.

The best of the English classics written by women, for my taste.

@marguicha I really don’t care for ebooks. I know most people do but I like a book with pages to turn. I might have it here somewhere. I have lots of old books.

I read it last September I think. And I posted an activity on it. I also fell in love with the book. When I have time, I'll try to read it again. Thanks for reminding.

I have a video done by the British of Jane Eyre and it is very good, I do want to reread the book too. There is a book further telling the story of Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester titled Mir Rochester I have only read that once and would want to read that again too because I have forgotten how that one goes,
