X-rays and a birthday

Today was a blustery day outside I hated having to go out. I asked my dad if he could watch the baby for me while I went to get X-rays done on my wrist and he said sure let me know when. I said about an hour. 25 minutes later he came over so I didn’t have time to get makeup on or anything. I quick threw on clothes and went up. The wait wasn’t long thankfully and he and the baby had such fun playing together while I was gone. The baby learned to play peek a boo today which is so adorable to watch. First she used her blanket, then a bib, then a toy. All day she kept doing it. Photo is of her peek a booing with her toy. I had a video call today with a pediatric gastroenterologist while the baby slept. He wants to two non invasive tests to see if the reflux is caused by anything anatomical before prescribing her a different medication. Sounds like a good plan to me. Today was my sister-in-laws birthday so we went to my other sister-in-laws house for pizza and ice cream cake for her. The baby cuddled in my sister in laws arms for hours so content. She said she’s never seen a baby love to be held so much.

Your dad is one nice person taking care of your child while you were getting the x rays treatment.

@DeepIzzaguy yes he loves kids and I was thankful he watched her for me and that I can trust him. I told him where the disposable diapers are kept in case she pooped and needed to have her cloth diaper taken off. He was hoping he wouldn’t have to change her lol.

My birthday is next month. Getting X-rays is very expensive in my city.

Aww, that is so cute. Babies really do love peek a boo. They think it's a riot! It's fun to play with them.

@snowy22315 she is a very smiley happy baby most the time anymore. It’s so nice the simple joy she has for banging on her high chair with a spoon, playing with the tags on her bibs and toys (which she likes the tags more then the toys ), playing peek a boo.

@snowy22315 hopefully . She has three teen siblings who adore her and mommy bad daddy so she is lucky girl to have so many people in the house to hold her and play with her.

@shaggin It's funny what they get a kick out of. I think she knows she is loved and it makes her content.

She is the cutest sweetest baby ever and helps that she is good natured even with all the problems with being ill and such. I bet your dad was the happiest of all. Bet sister in law really felt special.

@bunnybon7 she is so much fun (the baby). I am so blessed! They do a small get together like that every decade for the person. In my family we get together every year.

I am glad that your father immediately came to take care of your beautiful baby. I agree that the plan suggested by the doctors sounds to be a good one. Happy Birthday to your sister in law.

@LadyDuck yes it was great my dad could come help so quickly. He’s wonderful! I’ve been getting phone calls a lot the past two days to schedule appointments for the baby, insurance information etc.

@LadyDuck thankfully many are over the phone appointments because the drive to these offices is 1-2 hours.

The baby is such a good baby Shanny Did that colic or whatever go away? No that is the acid reflux? When will you get xray results?

@RebeccasFarm once we took her off dairy infant formula it got a lot better then when she got Pepcid for the acid reflux it got better yet. She spits up constantly but at least she isn’t in pain or crying for hours on end like she did as a newborn. I get the X-ray results tomorrow.

@jaboUK I wouldn’t ask him just to go do something fun but the hospital is very close so if she got to fussy while I waited for the X-ray then I could just come back home.

@DianneN she thinks peek a boo is so much fun it’s so cute. Thank you the tests won’t be scary like the scope they wanted my oldest daughter to have so I’m thankful for that.

Once a little child learns something new they just want to repeat it for ages and ages. It's so cute to see this.
